Evan Shea was born into a family of athletes and high achievers that
loved competition and never missed an opportunity to gloat over any
achievement, however small if it provided a glimmer of advantage over
his siblings, cousins and especially, his father.
Evan enjoyed a rewarding, but not exceptional career in high school
and college sports, constantly being overshadowed by his cousin, Neil.
But, Evan became a member of a world class sporting organization known
as Cypress Gardens and exceeded any accolades previously enjoyed by his
competitive relatives.
After several years on the world water skiing stage, Evan returned
to his college to finish his degree and met the love of his life,
Jeanette. They married, had three children and Evan became a stellar
businessman. One day he stopped at his doctor’s office to pick up his
routine physical exam results and discovered he had 2 months to live.
The shock and how his family deals with the news and prepares for
the inevitable loss of Evan is only a part of the story. The other part
is the help Evan is receiving from the spirits of his relatives that had
already died as they came back to help him transition from the mortal
side of his life to the other side.
Dying Dreams chronicles Evan’s life as if blossoms, blooms and ends
following an illness that cannot be cured. The story is one of
happiness, grief, survival and devotion as Evan’s family comes forward
to pick up and carry on his legacy and his memory.
Will Evan discover the secret known only to certain spirits in the
after life? Will he be able to return to the mortal world to help the
family he loves when they face a crisis? How will his family survive and
prosper without the head of the Shea family?
Dying Dreams is a work of fiction based on actual events in the life, and death of a real person.
Beautiful, young Marina Victoria was enjoying her exciting life as a
mermaid in a Florida Attraction when they came for her from five miles
deep. The world's first civilization is under attack. Living peacefully
beneath the sea since before the ice age. The citizens are under siege
by escaped space terrorists who kill for pleasure and sport. She is
their anointed queen, and they desperately need her help. Marina's
family enjoys Presidential protection. The existence of the their
civilization under the sea has been a state secret since the days of the
Trieste submersible explorations when Marina's grandmother was smuggled
to the surface world by a sailor, married and quietly raised her
family. By Presidential order, experts from the Kennedy Space Center
build a submersible to travel down to the domed city and rescue the
citizens under siege. Navy Seals train the visitors who risked their
lives coming from the deep to find Marina. Marina's powers become
apparent during the training as she assumes her role as Queen. Puerto
Rico becomes a state. Members of the domed city become citizens who step
into leadership positions. They are confronted by corruption, racism
and greed more deadly than the terrorists they defeated as Marina leads
her people into the modern world of business and politics.
